In mid-March 2026, a late-winter wind storm that affected much of central Ohio extensively damaged the roof over the Servants’ Quarters at Historic Prospect Place.

We have had the roof inspected by a professional roofing company. They have determined that the roof is still structurally sound, but the roofing material and its underlayment will need to be repaired and/or replaced to ensure the roof remains watertight, and to prevent future interior damage. As you might expect, this work will be expensive. While we included funds in this year’s annual budget for repairs to and renovation of the Mansion, this new damage far exceeds the original scope and cost of that project.

Please consider making a donation to the preservation of Historic Prospect Place! We would greatly appreciate your financial support so we can continue our mission of preserving the Mansion and offering educational and entertaining tours of the Estate!
